JustGotLaidOff.org was created to help laid-off workers find clear, practical information without putting essential help behind a paywall. That mission will not change if the site eventually earns money through sponsorships, affiliate partnerships, or other business relationships.
Current Financial Relationships
JustGotLaidOff.org does not currently have any sponsors, affiliate partnerships, paid endorsements, or other compensated promotional relationships.
If that changes, this page will be updated. Paid relationships will also be disclosed where the sponsored or affiliate content appears, so you will not have to hunt through the fine print to figure out whether money is involved.
Future Sponsorships
JustGotLaidOff.org may accept sponsorships in the future. A sponsorship means a company or organization provides money, services, or something else of value to support the site or a particular piece of content.
Sponsored content will be clearly labeled. Sponsors will not be allowed to disguise advertising as independent information or purchase favorable coverage.
Accepting sponsorship money does not mean JustGotLaidOff.org endorses every product, service, policy, or business practice associated with that sponsor.
Future Affiliate Links
Some links on this site may eventually be affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, sign up for a service, or complete another qualifying action, JustGotLaidOff.org may receive a commission or referral fee.
Affiliate links will be clearly identified near the link or recommendation. A general disclosure buried on this page will not be used as a substitute for telling you when a specific link may generate income.
The presence of an affiliate link will not change the basic information available to visitors or require laid-off workers to purchase anything.
Free Products, Services, or Access
If JustGotLaidOff.org receives free or discounted products, services, memberships, software access, event admission, travel, or anything else of value in connection with coverage or a recommendation, that relationship will be disclosed.
Receiving something for free does not guarantee positive coverage.
How Recommendations Are Chosen
Products, services, and organizations will not be recommended solely because they offer payment or a commission.
Before including a paid partner or affiliate resource, JustGotLaidOff.org will consider factors such as:
- Whether it provides a legitimate benefit to laid-off workers
- Whether its costs, limitations, and eligibility requirements are clearly explained
- Whether it uses misleading claims, aggressive sales tactics, forced signups, or hidden fees
- Whether free or lower-cost alternatives are available
- Whether the relationship creates a conflict with the site’s mission
A sponsorship or affiliate relationship does not guarantee that a company or service will remain listed forever.
Relationships may be ended if the resource becomes misleading, predatory, unreliable, or no longer useful to workers.
No Guarantee or Endorsement
A recommendation, link, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship is not a guarantee that a product or service will be appropriate for every visitor.
Third-party companies control their own services, prices, policies, availability, and claims. Those details may change without notice. Visitors should review the provider’s current terms and decide whether a product or service fits their own needs before signing up, sharing personal information, or spending money.
