Idaho Unemployment Insurance may provide temporary income if you lost work through no fault of your own. Claims are filed online. Unless exempt, you must file a weekly certification, register for work through IdahoWorks, and complete at least five work-search actions each week.

Layoff-Notice Protections
Idaho does not have a separate state mini-WARN law. Federal WARN may require advance notice for certain large layoffs or plant closings. Idaho Labor receives WARN notices and provides layoff-assistance services, but receipt of a notice does not settle whether an employer complied with federal law.

Workplace Problems and Legal Help
Idaho Labor accepts certain unpaid-wage claims. The Idaho Human Rights Commission handles employment-discrimination complaints under state law and certain federal claims referred by the EEOC.
