Free Job-Search Resources
There is no shortage of websites willing to “help” unemployed people for a fee. This is not a list of those websites.
The resources on this page provide useful information, job leads, training, or other services without requiring an upfront payment just to access the basic resource. Some charge platform fees, sell optional services, or require payment for certificates, but those costs and limitations are clearly noted.
Resources are reviewed before they are added. This page will be updated as websites change, disappear, start charging, or become more trouble than they are worth.
Important
A listing on this page does not guarantee that every job posting, employer, or third-party service found through that website is legitimate.
Never pay to apply for a job, buy equipment from an employer’s “approved vendor,” deposit a check and send part of the money elsewhere, or provide sensitive personal information before verifying who you are dealing with.
A quick note before you start searching
Job boards are useful for finding openings, but whenever possible, apply through the company’s official careers website. This helps you confirm that the position is still open, review the original job description, and avoid handing personal information to an unnecessary middleman.
If you cannot find the opening on the company’s website, pause before applying. It may have closed, been removed, or never been legitimate in the first place.
